© Parkview Psychological Services 2010 SESSIONS Your therapist will usually schedule one 50-minute session (one appointment of 50 minutes duration) per week at a time agreed upon, although some sessions may be longer or more frequent. MISSED APPOINTMENTS POLICY Appointments are scheduled in advance so that your therapist can prepare and make the best use of your therapy time.  When you cannot attend a scheduled session, you must call no later than the end of the preceding business day (by 5:00 p.m.) to cancel.  Appointments that you miss without calling ahead to cancel or that you miss altogether are very inconvenient and costly.  Barring illness or other emergencies, appointments that you do not cancel by the preceding day will be billed to you at one half of the full fee, or $63 per hour.  Charges for late cancellations or missed appointments cannot be billed to your insurance company (with the exception of 2 missed appointments per calendar year for Iowa Medicaid recipients) and must be paid in full by you.
